5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the site.

Types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function. These cannot be turned off. They include session management and security cookies.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site (which pages are popular, where people drop off). We use this data in aggregate, not to identify individuals.
  • Affiliate tracking cookies — track whether you arrived via an affiliate link so we can credit the correct affiliate for referrals.

Your cookie choices

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Note that disabling cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

6. Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details. Stripe processes your payment and communicates only the outcome (success or failure) and billing status to us.

Stripe is PCI DSS compliant. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

We store your billing name and email address for invoicing and accounting purposes, as required by law.

7. Email Communications

Service emails

We send emails that are necessary to deliver your service — article delivery, revision confirmations, billing receipts, and account notifications. You cannot opt out of these while you are an active subscriber, as they are part of the service.

Marketing emails

If you sign up for our $1 first article offer or fill in a contact form, we may send you follow-up emails about our subscription plans and service updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing hi@wewantcontent.co.

Cold outreach

If we contact you via cold outreach (email or LinkedIn), it is because we believe our service may be relevant to your business based on publicly available information. Every outreach email includes an easy opt-out. One request to stop is all it takes.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

  • Active subscriber data — kept for the duration of your subscription plus 3 years after cancellation, for accounting and legal compliance
  • Payment records — kept for 7 years as required by US tax law
  • Email communications — kept for 3 years, then deleted
  • CMS credentials — deleted within 30 days of your subscription ending or upon your written request
  • $1 article leads who did not subscribe — kept for 12 months from the date of their purchase, then deleted
  • Website analytics data — aggregated data retained indefinitely; individual session data retained for 26 months

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9). Legal and accounting records may need to be retained beyond your deletion request where required by law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
